ramblings from John

Hello!

I just wanted to duck in here for a quick minute and update you all about some stuff. Caitlin's in the process of moving into her dorm today, and she starts classes tomorrow. I, on the other hand, don't start classes until wednesday, and I'll be living at home again as usual.

One nice thing about westminster College this year is going to be their bus passes. If you commit to taking public transport at least four times a month then you get a free bus pass/ID card. I figure that's going to be plenty easy for me. I'll be heading up tomorrow to get my ID, sign up for a Chamber Singers audition, and talk to finantial aide. Something's fishy about my tuition stuff.

In completely random and unrelated news, I learned something disturbing the other day. Ever since I started looking to get a job I could do from home (we started a blog on that too) I was always told that, if I was in doubt about a company's reputation, I should check the Better Business bureau website. Many people assume that just because an organization is listed as a BBB member that they're automatically trustworthy. I learned, however, that this may not be the case. I read a post the other day (I'll link to it when I find it again) that you can buy a BBB membership. BBB membership isn't enough to go on... look at their record! Do they have complaints? How did they handle the complaints they received? Wow, this should go in the other blog as well, perhaps.

That's all from me for now. Speaking of work, I have tax forms to fill out still.
