The last day of vacation was very good. Firstly my father and I went to an aquarium. A presentation was given about feeding the fish and nurse sharks. A man was in the tank with the many fish feeding them. It was rather interesting to listen to; usually presentations as such are not described. This was a very nice change; I learned quite a bit! After this I got to touch some stingrays, they were slimy, but didn’t seem to mind being touched by various people. Then came the fun part; I was able to feed the nurse sharks myself! I had a stick with a shrimp attached, then I slowly lowered it down into the water, passed some metal netting, and down into the water. I wiggled the stick around; the shark approached it and latched on. Then with a loud pop noise it sucked the shrimp right off of the end! It was rather amusing to behold, but also pretty fascinating.
My father and I also went shopping at this place called The Sponge Docks; it was a village type setting, with indoor stores along the perimeter. I bought some gifts for friends and bf, and a ring for myself. It has two dolphins creating a spherical shape upon the crest. My dad bought some stuff for his fish tank and something for my mother. We also got ice cream!
Maja was a naughty girl today; she was very avid about testing my limits. It was very frustrating, but it was alright in the end. After walking around for a bit just glancing around at different displays we came back to the hotel. Whilst my mother was getting ready I read for a bit, and just chatted on the phone. Then we drove around for an hour looking for a decent restaurant, we finally chose one called Perkins. I had yummy breakfast, and oddly enough shared some mozzarella cheese sticks with my parents. All in all, a splendid day.
We leave early in the morning and get home at some point on Sunday. Tomorrow night we will probably stop somewhere in Georgia, stay the night at a hotel, and then continue back home early Sunday morning. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
Until then, bye bye!
