Hello, readers!!
Actually, neither of us has updated the blog in so long that all of our readers may have vanished, but I’m holding out hope that we still have a few of you.
Considering how little I seemed to care about classes this semester, I think it turned out alright. I ended up with a B in my thesis class, which is better than the C- I got the first time around. Now that the semester’s over, I’ve just been enjoying my break. I spent most of it so far on skype with Caitlin and watching Stargate: Atlantis. Tomorrow, I go to Kentucky to see her for nine days!!
This Christmas eve/Christmas day has been the busiest one I’ve had for a while. I sang for three Masses this year. I’d say that turned out rather well. My whole family went last night to Midnight Mass, something we haven’t done as a family since Michael was a little dude.
My Christmas gifts consisted of lots of clothes—sweaters mostly. That’s ok though, because I like to stay warm!!
I hope everyone’s enjoying their Christmas. Merry Christmas, and happy one year for Caitlin and me!!
Laters!!

Christmas!
Greetings, little desolate blog of mine; well not quite, but you get what I mean! Its Christmas day, and the best day of the year! Of course you know that, though. I am writing to say hello: yes I am alive, no I have not fallen off of the face of the earth, yes I need to update the blog more, I failed some classes witch I am not happy about, I’ve been soooo unbelievably busy with school, and yes there’re multiple excuses galore!
I love this day and the joy that it signifies; I also love the birth of Jesus. This is a happy day indeed, and the lords love should be shared as well! I thought seeing as I am rather awful at explaining things, that I’d post an email that I received today. I hope it touches you, as it touched me!
*******
“Greetings friends! I hope this finds you enjoying the sights and sounds of the Christmas season. As I've been pondering upon Christmas this year, I have realized how complicated we have made it. The culture tells us we have to find the "right" present, say the "right" holiday greeting, our towns have to set up the the "right" displays, spend the "right" amount of money so we aren't responsible for the collapse of our economy, etc.
Sometimes it's just our own individual selves that make Christmas complicated as we establish lists of things that we want to do to make the holiday special and often the list grows into an impossible amount of tasks that leave us drained and stressed out. Before any of the cultural overlay onto to Christmas or the self imposed tasks of Christmas, there was simply this: But the angel said to them (shepherds), "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy That will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and Lying in a manger."
The God of the universe burst forth into human history in the form of a baby to give a gift to all people that would Intersect with our greatest need. Absolutely amazing!
May you have a Merry Christmas that will include all of the special celebrating that you
enjoy but also with enough time to ponder the simplicity of that first Christmas
long ago that still has life changing implications today!”

One year for John and me! Its been a year of hardship and troubles, but with God’s steadfast support, we would have never made it through. I love you until time stands still, and may our love transcend time, and death. No matter what we have gone through, or may encounter, might you know that I am always indisputably and irrevocably in love with you. No matter what we face, I am by your side; I am yours.
Love from,
Caitlin W

a long overdue update!
It's been forever and an age since I've popped in here to update the blog, but now I'm giving you readers a little something!
School's been busy. Between Spanish III, History of England, History Thesis and Choir, I've had a good deal of stuff on my plate. I'm doing alright in the classes though, I do believe.
Tonight, I was asked to sing at a Mass for disabled catholics. The Mass was awesome, and the guy who lead the music asked me to join him on Sundays to lead music at my church. This excites me greatly!!
Other than school and singing at Mass, life's consisted of the usual. Talking to caitlin, reading fanfics, looking for wways to make money, etc.
End boring update!!

Greetings,
This little blog has been quite desolate as of late, so I thought I’d come and say hello! Well as you learned from our previous post, I have now moved into the UNI’s dorm. I won’t go into boring detail about how it is, but in short it’s nice. Classes aren’t going so well, though. I’m sure with Gods guidance and John’s support I’ll find a way. I really do enjoy most of my courses. The instructors are very willing to help, and this fact alone makes me happy; well almost happy, I really do enjoy learning; it’s rather difficult to take the exams that cover the material, though.
Maja didn’t like moving too much; it sure took some getting use to for the poor little pup. I believe she was use to my family being able to see and interact with her and now it’s back to boring old me. Along with having to learn new routs she had an ear infection. She had a visit with her vet, and a week after the infection disappeared. During this week I was forced to deal with a rebellious dog that refused to work quite often. It was so frustrating, but with praise, patience, and love from me she made it! We had to stop in the middle of a rout to class and do obedience quite often as well. Now she’s back to normal and we’re still learning our way around campus. Just this morning, I thought I’d see if I could walk to the library, and amusingly didn’t remember so well. We were going in the right direction, and promptly got lost. After wandering around for 15 minutes we gave up and made our way back to the main point of campus and I had lunch.
I hope you readers have enjoyed this little entry, we’ll be back soon!

ramblings from John
Hello!
I just wanted to duck in here for a quick minute and update you all about some stuff. Caitlin's in the process of moving into her dorm today, and she starts classes tomorrow. I, on the other hand, don't start classes until wednesday, and I'll be living at home again as usual.
One nice thing about westminster College this year is going to be their bus passes. If you commit to taking public transport at least four times a month then you get a free bus pass/ID card. I figure that's going to be plenty easy for me. I'll be heading up tomorrow to get my ID, sign up for a Chamber Singers audition, and talk to finantial aide. Something's fishy about my tuition stuff.
In completely random and unrelated news, I learned something disturbing the other day. Ever since I started looking to get a job I could do from home (we started a blog on that too) I was always told that, if I was in doubt about a company's reputation, I should check the Better Business bureau website. Many people assume that just because an organization is listed as a BBB member that they're automatically trustworthy. I learned, however, that this may not be the case. I read a post the other day (I'll link to it when I find it again) that you can buy a BBB membership. BBB membership isn't enough to go on... look at their record! Do they have complaints? How did they handle the complaints they received? Wow, this should go in the other blog as well, perhaps.
That's all from me for now. Speaking of work, I have tax forms to fill out still.

Our last day's adventures in Florida!
The last day of vacation was very good. Firstly my father and I went to an aquarium. A presentation was given about feeding the fish and nurse sharks. A man was in the tank with the many fish feeding them. It was rather interesting to listen to; usually presentations as such are not described. This was a very nice change; I learned quite a bit! After this I got to touch some stingrays, they were slimy, but didn’t seem to mind being touched by various people. Then came the fun part; I was able to feed the nurse sharks myself! I had a stick with a shrimp attached, then I slowly lowered it down into the water, passed some metal netting, and down into the water. I wiggled the stick around; the shark approached it and latched on. Then with a loud pop noise it sucked the shrimp right off of the end! It was rather amusing to behold, but also pretty fascinating.
My father and I also went shopping at this place called The Sponge Docks; it was a village type setting, with indoor stores along the perimeter. I bought some gifts for friends and bf, and a ring for myself. It has two dolphins creating a spherical shape upon the crest. My dad bought some stuff for his fish tank and something for my mother. We also got ice cream!
Maja was a naughty girl today; she was very avid about testing my limits. It was very frustrating, but it was alright in the end. After walking around for a bit just glancing around at different displays we came back to the hotel. Whilst my mother was getting ready I read for a bit, and just chatted on the phone. Then we drove around for an hour looking for a decent restaurant, we finally chose one called Perkins. I had yummy breakfast, and oddly enough shared some mozzarella cheese sticks with my parents. All in all, a splendid day.
We leave early in the morning and get home at some point on Sunday. Tomorrow night we will probably stop somewhere in Georgia, stay the night at a hotel, and then continue back home early Sunday morning. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
Until then, bye bye!

The adventures of Caitlin and Maja on vacation!
This morning the family, Maja, and I took a walk along the ocean. She did exceptionally well: stopping for obstacles in our path, guiding nicely, following commands, and just generally being bouncy! The weather was wonderful, slightly sunny, windy, and blue skies. I enjoy feeling the warm sand beneath my feet, feeling the cool breeze against my face, and hearing the gentle waves. After our walk I came back and worked on some college issues, played with my puppy and read.
I received my first college syllabus; boy does it look like a doozy! Theatre Arts should prove to be interesting, though. I have to attend different performances and write two 600 word essays. That’s not bad at all. I am anxiously awaiting e-mails from four other professors.
Until next time,
Caitlin

GDB follow-up, and stuff
Hi!!
I had my GDB follow-up visit today. Everything went well. I got some advice on a few issues Clint and I were having, and I think things are going to be ok now! We also went on a little walk, and worked on his tendancy to cross diagonally. That's going to be fixed by clicker training and rewards at curbs, I do believe.
Afterwards, grandma and I went to the bank so I could get some forms notarised for the job I'm applying for. Then we did lunch, but Olive Garden was absolutely packed, so we came home to eat instead. Food was good anyway, though.
After lunch, I came home, attempted to complete some tax forms for my job, but they were stupid PDF's that I couldn't really work with. I'm waiting for a response to the e-mail I sent the company to see what happens. In case this job doesn't pan out, I also started looking at another option. One way or another, I'm getting money dammit!!

John's Hello!
I'm John. Many of you probably know me, but for those of you who don't... I'll telll a bit about me.
I'm co-owner of this blog. I'm entering my senior year (for the second time tehcnically) at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'll be receiving my bachelor's degree in history from said college. After that... who knows!! My first plan is to move to Kentucky and get an apartment. Then, once we're all settled in and have a job and stuff, we'll think about grad school. I'll probably pursue a rehabilitation teaching/counciling degree, and work with other blind adults.
So... what's new in my life? Nott a whole lot, really. I went to a choir rehearsal today. I was asked to sing at Starry Night, a fund raiser for the National Ability center, an organization that provides skiing, horse back riding, rock climbing, and a myriad of other activities for persons with disabilities. Soon here, grandma, Clint and I are gonna go for a walk. Tomorrow, I have a follow-up visit with a representative from GDB (Guide Dogs for the Blind). I'll write more after that's done!!

Caitlin's hello!
Oh no’s kiddies! It’s a blog entry of sorts. How much you shall get out of this little thingy, I’m not quite sure. This is Caitlin, one of the two posters in this little journal.
My first year of college starts on the 25th and I’m scared shitless. I’ll have six classes, three of witch I’m not looking forward to. I had to get some financial aid issues figured out today, and got some other things taken care of, but other than that things are going pretty smoothly. I’m sure everyone’s scared at first, and that I’ll get over the initial fright, but that is what is on my mind at this current moment. With God’s, families, and John’s help I’ll make it, I just have to believe and do my best. Geesh; I’m quite positive you didn’t come to read scary self motivational shit. Now, on to more exciting things!
I’m in Florida in a pent house, on a beach! It’s beautiful, really. My guide dog and I are having an awesome time: running on the beach, playing in the surf, lounging by the pool, shopping for souvenirs to bring back to my family/bf, and doing many other things. It’s a blast! Today I let Maja off leash to run in the ocean and she did a wonderful job! She came when I called her, and stayed with me the entire time. She loved pouncing at the waves as they were coming and zooming around. Of course I had to rinse her afterwards, but it was worth it. That’s all that’s of any interest right now. Well John is out, and I miss him terribly, but that’s nothing from the norm.
Oooh, weight; I have to exclaim about something! Eight months for John and me on the 25th of August! Through all of the difficult and wonderful times we have became closer and a much stronger couple. I believe with God’s guidance and our wills to make us work we will pull through, and be better people in the end! We will be magnificent! Eek, ok I’m gonna stop rambling. *blush
I’m going to skedaddle out of here before I make an idiot out of myself! John can type much better, and about more civil things than I. You will be glad to read his entries. *giggles
John, you’re up next!
